War in a larger scale

Still alive!!!

It has been a busy summer and fall in nearly all other aspects of life but the toy soldiers. Some people in our gaming group got really into the 28mm (or 1/56) WW2 miniatures wargame Bolt Action and the excitement spread so we’ve mainly been playing (and subsequently painting) that.

Painting the 28 mm stuff has been a nice change of pace. It’s fun to try out some advanced modelling techniques that really are lost on 1/100 mm stuff I usually paint. It’s a whole new game when you change the scale and it has been quite challenging to try and adjust my style of painting to 1/56. So much to learn and a long way to go!
